Dr. Ana Isabel-de-la-Llave-Rincón, PT, PhD

Ana is a professor of physical therapy at Universidad Rey Juan Carlos, Madrid, Spain. She is a member of the clinical research group of clinical pain sciences directed by Dr. César Fernández-de-las-Peñas. She has over ten years clinical experience in private practice, and in orthopaedic and neurological rehabilitation, at a rehabilitation centre, focussing mainly on manual therapy approaches in the management of these disorders. She conducted her PhD thesis in physical therapy at the Universidad Rey Juan Carlos, and her interest is in clinical research of chronic pain and the effects of manual therapy and dry needling on these disorders. She has published over 30 scientific publications on this topic, and has contributed greatly to the evidence based practice of dry needling.
