Dr. José Luis Arias-Buría, PT, MSc, PhD
Dr. José Luis Arias-Buría is a professor of Physical Therapy at Universidad Francisco de Vitoria, Madrid Spain, and Clinical Researcher of Physical Therapy at Universidad Rey Juan Carlos, Madrid, Spain. He is integrated into the clinical research group of clinical pain sciences directed by César Fernández-de-las-Peñas. He has 15 years of clinical experience in public practice focussed on manual approaches for the treatment of chronic pain and trigger points. He conducted his PhD thesis in Physical Therapy with a thesis based on the application of trigger point dry needling in patients with post-surgery shoulder pain. His research interest is human clinical chronic pain research and the effects of manual therapy and dry needling in pain. He has published more than 10 scientific publications on this topic.
