Dr. med. Stefan Diermayr, MD
After completing his medical studies at the University of Vienna Austria in 2002, Dr. Diermayr completed his residency in Switzerland. The specialization for internal medicine took place mainly at the University of Basel. Here he worked fulltime for two years in basic hematological research and published papers on cellular immunotherapies of blood cancer.
In 2010, he began his spezialisation in rheumatology at the Universitätsklinik Zürich and subsequently at the Schulthess Klinik Zürich. In addition to specialist training, he obtained additional qualifications for sonography of the musculoskeletal system, interventional pain therapy and manual medicine. His main interest is sonographical guided diagnostic and intervention of inflammatory and degenerative diseases of the musculoskeletal system. Dr. Diermayr is supervisor for musculoskeletal sonography (MSUS). Since 2013, he has been working as a freelance rheumatologist in a rheumatological practice and in the ultrasound department of the Schulthess Kinik in Zurich.
