    Thanks for the helpful video! How can I distinguish the m. iliopsoas from the m. rectus femoris when palpating as demonstrated with active-assistive hip flexion?

    yes. the iliopsoas is lying more laterally than the rectus femoris muscle. so if you palpate just imediately medial of the sartorius towards lateral caudal you will palpate the iliopsoas muscle. the rectus would be more medial.
