Daniel Bösch

After medical studies (1996 – 1999) and studies of physiotherapy (1999 – 2003), Daniel Bösch graduated in 2003 as a certified physical therapist BSc (UAS PT in Bern, Switzerland). Since then, he’s been working in his rheumatology specialized physiotherapy practice (Bösch, Bern, the capital of Switzerland), mainly as a diagnostician but also as a therapist. In addition to his training in trigger point therapy and Dry Needling, Daniel become certified in various advanced trainings in manual therapy (Maitland, Kaltenborn), neurodynamics (Michael Shacklock), osteopathy and more, and over time has looked after several professional athletes and teams. As part of his experience, Daniel worked in the Swiss Centre of Paraplegia in Nottwil, and, became a specialized deputy of the International Committee of the Red Cross as a teacher of anatomy and palpation in Africa, and since 2007 he is an official instructor and member of the DGSA group, teaching Dry Needling and manual therapy courses internationally (Europe, Asia and Northafrica; english, french, spanish and german). From 2009 to 2018 he was the head of the DGSA spezialised group of post-graduated training in Switzerland. He is the author or the french book "Douleurs Myofasciales et Points Trigger", co-author of the book „Myofasziale Schmerzen und Triggerpunkte”, as well as author of several research papers. Daniel has been invited as a guest speaker to conferences and different workshops and seminars internationally. His research activity focus on myofascial pain syndrome and ultrasound-guided Dry Needling, and in fact he is one of the pioneers in this realm in Switzerland. In addition, Daniel is the co-founder and head president of the French Society for Dry Needling (Société Française de Dry Needling – SFDN). He lives with his family in Avenches (VD).
